We don't normally post about our Dementia Friends sessions and Dementia Friendly Church workshops but felt this one was definitely worth it. St Mark's and St Saviour's Church asked us to come in and run a session. I was expecting there to be about 20 people there.
They went all out and put on a cream team, advertised it in a number of other church's in the area and the final count was 60 people becoming Dementia Friends and thinking about how their church can become more dementia friendly.
It was a real joy to run this session with lots of interaction and amazing scones and clotted cream.
A BIG thank you goes to their Church Warden and all of their volunteers who made this such a great event.
